Once a year, KLS GIT stops being a college and becomes an arena. Avalanche is not a technical symposium dressed up as a fest. It is the real thing, days of relentless competition, problem-solving under pressure, innovation on display, and the kind of energy that reminds every participant why they chose engineering in the first place.
Students from across Karnataka and beyond descend on the KLS GIT campus to compete, collaborate, and prove what they are capable of, not in an exam hall, but on a stage where the only metric that matters is how well you think, how fast you build, and how creatively you solve.

Avalanche is the annual technical festival of KLS GIT, a multi-day celebration of engineering intelligence, innovation, and competitive spirit. Organised entirely by students, for students, it brings together the brightest technical minds from colleges across the region for a programme that spans competitive events, workshops, expert talks, project exhibitions, and live demonstrations.
Every department at KLS GIT puts its best ideas forward, and every student who participates leaves with more than a prize or a certificate. They leave with the experience of having competed at the highest level their college career offers, against peers who pushed them harder than any classroom assignment ever could.
What Happens at Avalanche
The Programme
Hackathons that run through the night, where teams build functional solutions to real-world problems in compressed timelines that mirror actual industry sprints.
Technical paper presentations, where students defend original research and innovative ideas in front of panels of faculty, industry professionals, and fellow engineers.
Project exhibitions, where semester-long and year-long projects find their largest audience, judged by people who have built real things in the real world.
Robotics and coding competitions, where precision, logic, and speed determine who wins and who goes back to the drawing board.
Expert sessions and keynote talks, where industry professionals and innovators from outside the campus bring perspectives that no curriculum can fully replicate.
