About Aura
Engineering shapes how you think. AURA reminds you that thinking is not the only thing you are capable of. Once a year, the KLS GIT campus transforms, from a place of circuits and calculations into a space of music, movement, performance, and pure, undiluted energy. AURA is where students who spend most of the year solving problems get to be the spectacle.
It is the biggest cultural event in the KLS GIT calendar. And for the students who live through it. It is often one of the most memorable experiences of their entire college journey.

AURA is the annual cultural festival of KLS GIT, a multi-day celebration of artistic talent, creative expression, and the sheer joy of performing in front of a crowd that is genuinely there to witness something extraordinary. It is entirely student-organised, student-driven, and student-owned, from the stage design and event management to the performances themselves.
Every edition of AURA carries a theme, a creative direction that runs through every event, every decoration, and every moment of the festival, giving it a distinct identity that students carry with them long after the lights go down.
What Happens at Aura
The Programme
Star performances, headline acts from professional artists and musicians who bring a level of energy and production to the KLS GIT stage that students talk about for years. Past editions have featured performances that drew audiences from across Belgaum and beyond.
Live musical performances, from classical to contemporary, solo to ensemble, acoustic to fully produced stage shows that fill the auditorium and the open-air spaces of the campus.
Dance competitions, classical forms, folk traditions, western styles, and fusion choreographies that bring together students from every year and every discipline.
Drama and theatre, original scripts, adapted plays, and spoken word performances that prove that engineers have more to say than most people expect.
Battle of Bands and solo artist showcases, for students who have spent years playing instruments in hostel rooms and practice sessions, waiting for an audience that deserves them.
Fashion and design events, where creativity meets presentation in competitions that have nothing to do with grades and everything to do with vision.
Comedy and impressions, the fastest-growing event category at every college fest, and at AURA, always the most memorable night of the entire programme.
The Aura Experience
AURA is many things at once. It is a stage for students who have been rehearsing for this moment since they arrived on campus. It is a community event that draws families, alumni, and the wider North Karnataka audience into the college experience. It is proof that KLS GIT produces complete human beings, not just technically capable engineers.
But more than anything, AURA is what happens when 10,000+ students collectively decide to celebrate everything that engineering education is not, and discover, in doing so, exactly how much more they are than their transcripts will ever show.
